Webinar: Medicinal Cannabis for Endometriosis Pain

July 1 @ 19:00 - 19:30

A free webinar hosted by the New Zealand Medical Cannabis Council and Endo Warriors Aotearoa, featuring Dr Claire Henry of the University of Otago, Wellington.

Endometriosis affects roughly one in ten women globally. Hormonal therapy, surgery, and standard pain management don’t work for everyone, and many patients can’t tolerate the side effects. The question of what comes next deserves better evidence.

Join us on Wednesday 1 July, as Dr Claire Henry of the University of Otago, Wellington, presents findings from the first prospective cohort study of medicinal cannabis for endometriosis-related pain in New Zealand.

The study followed 28 women with endometriosis and related pelvic pain who were prescribed CBD oil, alone or with dried cannabis flower, over three months.

Dr Henry, a biomedical scientist in the University of Otago’s Department of Surgery and Critical Care, will walk through how the study was designed, what the results suggest for prescribing, and the limitations a cohort this size carries before larger trials can confirm them.

The webinar will run from 7 – 7.30 pm, followed by a 15-minute Q&A opportunity with Dr Henry. Please email questions to [email protected]
